A short but very productive and pleasant tour through the Andes, high Andean lagoons and polylepys forest, in this full day birding tour we can find various species of acuatic birds such as Andean Goose, Puna Teal, Andean Duck, White-tufted Grebe, Silvery Grebe, Cinnamon Teal, Yellow-billed Pintail, Yellow-billed Teal, Andean Gull, Neotropic Cormorant, Puna Ibis, as well as some endemic birds like Rusty-fronted Canastero, Bearded Mountaineer, Creamy-crested Spinetail, White-tufted Sunbeam are some of the birds that we can find in the lagoon and around the vegetation, in some cases and depending on the season it is possible to observe some migratory birds.
Then we will arrive at the Ensifera Camp hummingbird sanctuary where we will have the opportunity to observe and take the best pictures of the strangest and most beautiful hummingbirds at the same time as the Sword-billed Hummingbird, Giant Hummingbird, White-bellied Woodstar, White-bellied Hummingbird, Shining Sunbeam, Tyrian Metaltail, White-tufted Sunbeam, Bearded Mountaineer.

8:00 am – 9:30 am: Chinchero – Encounter with Andean Culture
We’ll head to Chinchero, a picturesque Andean village known for its traditional textiles and rich cultural heritage. We’ll visit the archaeological site and the colonial church built on Inca ruins. Additionally, you’ll witness a weaving demonstration by talented local women.
10:00 am – 11:30 am: Scenic Drive to Ollantaytambo
Next, we’ll board on a scenic journey through the Sacred Valley towards Ollantaytambo. Enjoy breathtaking Andean landscapes and learn more about the region’s history from our guide.
12:00 pm – 1:30 pm: Lunch in Urubamba
In Urubamba, we’ll enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant in Urubamba. This will be an opportunity to relax and savor authentic Peruvian cuisine while sharing experiences from the trip.
2:00 pm – 4:00 pm: Ollantaytambo – Inca Fortress and Colonial Town
We’ll explore the impressive Ollantaytambo Fortress, a unique Inca construction that served as a military and religious center. We’ll stroll through its terraces and uncover the fascinating history surrounding this archaeological site.
4:30 pm – 6:00 pm: Pisac – Inca Site and Artisan Market
We’ll conclude our day by visiting Pisac, renowned for its Inca town and vibrant artisan market. We’ll explore the agricultural terraces and enjoy panoramic views of the valley. Afterwards, you’ll have free time to wander through the colorful market, where you can purchase authentic souvenirs and local crafts.
6:30 pm: Return to Cusco

4:30 am – 5:00 am: Hotel Pickup and Transfer to Ollantaytambo
